It didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a crack in a cardboard corner — an Elite Trainer Box I’d kept for years, damaged after one clumsy move. In that moment I realized how fragile the things we care about most really are.

Pokémon has been part of who I am my whole life. Not as an investment, but as a story: the first booster pack I tore open with trembling hands, the trading meet-ups, the card I finally completed after years of searching. Every box, every slab, every sealed product carries a moment like that with it — and that deserves more than a spot at the back of a cupboard.

So I went looking for protection that did justice to that feeling. Not the thin, standard sleeves sold everywhere, but something that makes a collection feel like what it is: a collection of meaning. When I couldn’t find it anywhere, I had it developed myself — together with specialized manufacturers, worked out down to the smallest detail.

That’s how SP Acrylics came to be. Every case is made from crystal-clear premium acrylic, with strong magnetic closures and protection against dust, damage and UV rays. No compromises, because I test everything as if it were for my own display cabinet — and only once a product meets that standard does it earn a place in our range.

What started as a cracked corner has grown into a brand that protects thousands of collections. But the reason has never changed: I still know exactly how it feels when something precious to you finally gets the protection it deserves.
